Screenshots:
Usually screenshots are good for getting proof for things like spamming and advertising. To take a screenshot, press the F2 button on your keyboard. This will capture an image of your current Minecraft window and save it inside your .minecraft folder in the "Screenshots" folder. From there, post the image on the forums by clicking the "Upload a file" button when creating a thread. If it says "Image is too large!" Then you may need to post the file on another site and post a link in the thread you're creating. Another way you can take a screenshot is with the program "Snapshot" offered by none other than Snapcraft which can be downloaded here: www.snapcraft.net/index.php?pages/snapshot/
When you open the Snapshot program, a Plus should appear on your screen. Click and drag the plus across the screen to create a box. When a box is created over what you want to take a picture of, stop clicking. A window will open up with the picture you took. Copy the link it gives you in the address bar and post it in the thread you're creating.

This is the best kind of proof you can have. There are many different free video recording programs out there, such as Bandicam, Fraps, Hypercam, ect. To download one, Google the name of whatever program you would like and download the program from their website. After downloaded, follow the directions it gives you to record and record any major deal you make. That way, if the person scams you, you can post the video on the forums and increase your chances of getting whatever you lost back. To upload a video, find the folder where your recording program saves videos, and upload your video to YouTube. After it's uploaded to YouTube, post the link to your video in the thread.
